   A luscious straw gold wine with a hine of guava and the delicious richness of dried fruit on the tongue.
    
3. Domaine la Croix Belle - £14.50
   Sauvignon Blanc, France
   Mild - Medium, Aromatic
   Zut alors! This is a good Sauvignon. It does have typlical varietal charactistics with notes of gooseberries, blackcurrent bud and a touch of flint. But added to this are exotic fruits, white flowers and honey aromoas. The finish is fresh, lively and very long.

   Creamy mineral aromas on the nose and a crisp, citrus attack in the mouth with lingering floral notes. This wine dispels the myth that Italian Grigio cannot be a serious wine.

   Passion fruit, grapefruit and green pineapple on the nose. The palate is a juicy expression of concentrated grapefruit, passion fruit and hints of lime, with a crisp clean finish.

   The wine displays vibrant gooseberry and passion fruit aromas, excellent balance, intense flavour and a lengthy finish.
    
8. Chablis Chateau Clos de Vaulicheres - £22.95

   Winemaker Olivier Refait is the only grower in Burgundy to have received the "Prix d'Excellance" twice. A truely remarkable achievement, which is reflected in this wonderful Chablis. Classically dry, steely Chablis, but with excellent ripeness of fruit and a long persistent finish.

   A beautiful expression of Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of white flowers and citrus lead to a rich and dense mineral palate of "chalky" fruit.
